Avon Valley Adventure Park

A family attraction on a farm in Keynsham, near Bath, with seasonal events including Halloween activities.

Avon Valley Adventure Park is a family attraction based on a 90-acre farm in Keynsham, near Bath. Founder Doug Douglas’s father bought the land more than 30 years ago, when it was a fruit farm. The park now runs family activities during school holidays and seasonal events.

Its Halloween programme includes FEAR Scream Park, which stages scare mazes and experiences with live actors over 13 nights in October, and a pumpkin event that attracts around 120,000 people a year. Douglas said Halloween activities generate about a third of the park’s annual income. He reported that the park turns over £2 million from its activities in October, while FEAR costs about £750,000 to stage.
