Candiru is a private Israeli company that provides spyware and cyber-espionage services to government clients. Research extracts describe it as based in Tel Aviv and founded in 2014.
In 2021, the U.S. Department of Commerce sanctioned Candiru, saying it had evidence the company developed and supplied spyware to foreign governments that used it to target people including government officials, journalists, activists and academics.
A Citizen Lab report described in 2025 linked spyware attacks on Al Jazeera devices with high confidence to Candiru. The report said the company had rebranded as Integrity Labs. This link identifies the spyware, but does not establish who deployed it.
