FIFPRO, formally the Fédération Internationale des Associations de Footballeurs Professionnels, is a worldwide representative organisation for professional footballers. It represents about 70,000 players and is made up of 70 national players’ associations, with four candidate members. Its global headquarters are in Hoofddorp, Netherlands.
FIFPRO conducts research into players’ working conditions. A global survey of more than 800 women footballers discussed in a report found that many respondents faced financial insecurity and psychological stress, despite the commercial growth of women’s football.
