Fire Emissions Watch is an EU-linked monitoring initiative that reports on emissions from fires.

In coverage of wildfires in Indonesia, the initiative said emissions from the fires had been the highest in the world for a month. It also attributed significantly increased emissions and smoke pollution to hotter and drier conditions associated with the onset of El Niño.
