Kağıthane is a municipality and district in Istanbul Province, on the European side of Istanbul. It lies at the northern end of the Golden Horn and extends along the Alibeyköy and Kağıthane rivers.

During the heavy rainfall and flooding reported in Istanbul, the body of a third person was found near a park in the Kağıthane district.
