Keiko Sofía Fujimori Higuchi, born on 25 May 1975, is a Peruvian politician and businesswoman who has served as president of Peru since 2026. She is the eldest daughter of former Peruvian president Alberto Fujimori and is a leading figure in Fujimorism, the political movement associated with him.

Fujimori served as First Lady of Peru from 1994 to 2000 and represented Lima in Congress from 2006 to 2011. She has led the political party Popular Force, previously known as Force 2011, since 2009.

She unsuccessfully sought the presidency in 2011, 2016 and 2021 before winning the 2026 election. In the runoff held on 7 June 2026, she defeated Together for Peru candidate Roberto Sánchez and was inaugurated on 28 July 2026.

As president, Fujimori has also been involved in Peru’s diplomatic affairs. In October 2026, she said that the dates of Pope Leo XIV’s planned visit to Peru could change depending on the length of his recovery following surgery for lung cancer.
