LIV Golf is a professional men’s golf tour. Its first event was held in June 2022 as part of the LIV Golf Invitational Series, which became the LIV Golf League in 2023. The name “LIV” refers to the Roman numeral for 54; events changed to 72 holes from the 2026 season.

The tour was financed by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, which withdrew its funding in April 2026. LIV Golf filed for bankruptcy protection in September 2026 and later announced possible financing to support a planned 2027 season.

LIV Golf is at the centre of a dispute over players’ eligibility for the DP World Tour. The DP World Tour has said it will not accept membership for 2027 from players intending to compete on LIV Golf.
