The National Hurricane Center (NHC) is a division of the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and National Weather Service. It tracks and predicts tropical weather systems in parts of the northeast Pacific and northern Atlantic.
The center is co-located with the National Weather Service’s Miami branch. In reporting on Hurricane Trudy, the NHC provided the storm’s location, wind speed, projected movement and rainfall forecast.
