The Natural History Museum is a museum in London, England, devoted to natural history. It exhibits specimens from across the natural world and holds about 80 million items in five main collections: botany, entomology, mineralogy, palaeontology and zoology.

The museum is a research centre specialising in taxonomy, identification and conservation. It separated from the British Museum in 1881.

The museum develops and produces the Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition. The competition aims to share stories about nature and insights into environmental challenges.
