Nigel Paul Farage (born 3 April 1964) is a British politician and leader of Reform UK. He has represented Clacton in the House of Commons since 2024.
Farage led the UK Independence Party from 2006 to 2009 and from 2010 to 2016, and represented South East England in the European Parliament from 1999 until the United Kingdom left the European Union in 2020. He co-founded the Brexit Party in 2018; the party was renamed Reform UK in 2021.
In footage reported by ITV, Farage discussed how Reform UK should respond to remarks by its then mayoral candidate Chris Parry about David Lammy. Farage said Parry should apologise, while a party communications official told Farage that he was “protecting” the candidate. Reform later suspended Parry, according to the news report.
