The Pacific Link pipeline, previously known as the West Coast Oil Pipeline (WCOP), is a proposed heavy crude oil pipeline in Canada intended to route crude oil from Alberta to the Pacific coast for export, particularly to Asia-Pacific markets.
The pipeline route is planned to run roughly 1,200 kilometers along a corridor that largely aligns with the existing Trans Mountain Pipeline System, starting near Edmonton (Bruderheim), Alberta, and terminating near Delta, British Columbia. Project estimates place the cost between $35.2 billion and $43.7 billion, with completion anticipated around 2032 or 2033.
In 2026, the federal government’s Major Projects Office (MPO) designated Pacific Link as a national interest project. Prime Minister Mark Carney has cited the fast-tracked pipeline proposal as a key effort to expand market access to Asian economies, reduce trade dependence on the United States, and demonstrate a renewed federal partnership with Alberta.
