SpaceX is an American aerospace manufacturer and provider of space transportation and telecommunications services. Its businesses include launch vehicles and spacecraft, and it operates Starlink, a satellite broadband service.

Starlink has also been used for government and military communications, including in the Russo-Ukrainian war. News reports describe Ukrainian forces using the network for communications, drone operations, air defence and logistics. SpaceX also developed Starshield, a military-grade satellite communications system. Elon Musk has said Starshield systems are owned and controlled by the U.S. government.
