Volodymyr Oleksandrovych Zelenskyy is a Ukrainian politician and former entertainer who has served as Ukraine’s sixth president since 2019.

Before entering politics, he worked in comedy and entertainment and co-founded the production company Kvartal 95. He played a fictional Ukrainian president in the television series Servant of the People, which aired from 2015 to 2019.

Zelenskyy has served during Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, which began in February 2022. At the Brussels meeting described in recent coverage, he sought continued European financial, military and political support for Ukraine.
