Yorkshire Wildlife Park

A zoo, wildlife conservation and rehabilitation centre, and tourist attraction in South Yorkshire, England.

Yorkshire Wildlife Park is a zoo, wildlife conservation and rehabilitation centre, and tourist attraction in Branton and Auckley, South Yorkshire. It opened in 2009 on the site of a former riding school and petting zoo.

The park includes the Land of the Tigers area, where visitors can view tigers from a raised walkway. In the incident described in news reports, a man entered a tiger enclosure and was fatally injured. The park said the tiger, named Altai, was safe and would not be euthanized. At the time of the reports, the park was closed and said it was working with authorities.
